It was early February, and I was facing a new challenge – a two-day workshop at BMW. As a newly minted working student, I was eager for the opportunity to immerse myself in the company’s world and learn more about my future tasks.
The venue was far from the hustle and bustle of the city, more of a tranquil oasis amid rural serenity. An old farmhouse, giving the impression of a castle, gained additional charm from the presence of llamas and cats that populated the grounds.
The rooms we were accommodated in were enormous. Upon arrival, an intensive crash course commenced, covering so much new information, various topics, and far too many abbreviations. It was a mix of excitement and being overwhelmed, but the atmosphere and the people made the introduction more manageable.
In the evenings, we gathered for dinner and later at the farmhouse bar. The conversations were inspiring, and I immediately felt at ease with my team. The blend of professional exchange and personal getting-to-know created an atmosphere of unity.
The two days passed quickly, but the experiences I gathered were all the more valuable. The workshop not only marked the beginning of my time as a working student but also a fantastic start to collaborating with BMW. It was a period during which I not only learned a lot but also developed a strong sense of teamwork.
